DAWN REED![]() Creator/Editor in Chief
Originally from Japan, with stints in Greece, England, Turkey, both coasts of the US, and a regular to the world of jet-lag, Dawn has been immersed in the music scenes of nearly every continent for a majority of her existence, creating mix-tapes for friends and family as early as kindergarten years. Most known for her role as host on the nationally broadcast music TV series Strictly Global, she also is no stranger to being behind the camera, and has created video art used in the stage shows of DC noise band Ghost Light, and S.F. experimental band Spiral Bombs. She also is the associate editor for the online DC edition of the Deli Magazine, covering the local DC music scene. ![]() CONTRIBUTORS:
Kaitlyn Ward: Worldwide Indie & EDM Artist, designer and director of Target Gallery, Kaitlyn can typically be found lurking the internet with headphones on, singing in the car, or swooning over DJs on twitter. A native of the DC-area, she spent her formative years in North Carolina, drowning out the sound of the suburbs with grunge, hardcore, indie rock and EDM. Kaitlyn is currently forging the identity for Casual magazine and the NewWorldSavage collective (all coming soon!), but in the meantime you can stalk her on Soundcloud, Spotify, Pinterest and Instagram for emerging artists and musicians, fashion inspiration and cute pictures of puppies. ![]() Metal Chris: Metal-Everywhere
Metal Chris runs DCHeavyMetal.com, the biggest heavy metal website that focuses on the Washington DC, Baltimore and Northern Virginia area. He spends his time chronicling the local metal bands there as well as the national and international metal acts that come through the area on his site by writing concert reviews, shooting live photographs and videos and promoting upcoming concerts. He's not just a specialist in his local geographic area though, and he's signed on to the Scene Trek team to lend us his knowledge of the various underground metal scenes all around the world. Currently working with international artists, psychologists and NGO's about an artistic resilience program.
