Video of the Week: SBTRKT "Wildfire"

8/30/2011

Wanna trip?  Then press play.  The debut S/T album from the faceless London based electronic artist SBTRKT is full of beats ranging from dubstep to Chicago house, and plenty of awesome collaborators, such as Little Dragon in this track for "Wildfire."  Why the name and anonymity? He's said he'd, "rather not talk about myself as a person, and let the music speak for itself. The name SBTRKT is me taking myself away from that whole process."  And his tour is going global right now.  Check here for dates!

Video of the Week: Atari Teenage Riot "Blood In My Eyes"

Berlin's Atari Teenage Riot released Is This Hyperreal? back in June 2011 and are about to hit the US road this September.  Thought it was fitting that these pioneers of digital hardcore got Video of the Week. Especially with the brutally honest message that Nic Endo unleashes in this intense clip for "Blood In My Eyes." Known for their radical views and abrassively awesome pounding beats in their original run from 1992-2000, they are back with the classic noise and a whole new set of alarming topics that other artists are too afraid to cover. That's what's up!

Fuse TV, the best and only music channel in North America, has collided with Scene Trek! No, our yet to be created webisodes weren't picked up, yet, but until that happens, we totally suggest you check out the radness that is Hoppus on Music.

Hosted by Mark Hoppus, frontman and bassist for Blink 182, this weekly block of entertainment (Fridays @11 on Fuse) features ballsy interviews via Hoppus and his array of rocker guests whom in the past have included Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, and Liam Gallagher.  The show also features performances by some of the coolest bands, including the National, Death Cab For Cutie, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, and more.

This Friday at 11 PM you can tune in to Fuse TV to check out an interview with Slipknot's frontman Corey Taylor, and a performance by the Antlers!

And don't forget to DVR the show incase you are out supporting your locals, or even checking out Blink 182 who is currently on tour with My Chemical Romance and Manchester Orchestra!

We are stoked to do this shout-out for Fuse TV and believe it's the beginning of a beautiful friendship. xoxo

Video of the Week: Haemorrhage "Traumageddon"

8/9/2011

(by Metal Chris) The goregrind band Haemorrhage is known for their crazy medical mishap themed live concerts and this video shows them translating that into this sick (in a good way) music video. Even though they're from Madrid, Spain, their lyrics are in English. Not that you can understand most of it but then, the blood splatter imagery translates to any language. They released an album, Hospital Carnage, in May of this year and this video for the song "Traumageddon" is the second, and best, video off of it. Click play above and be ready for Haemorrhage to melt your face off. Just be sure that you do not go to the ER afterwards!
